Organisational Culture Change
Over the past two years the organisation has undergone a huge culture change programme to take its employees through the transition from public sector to private sector working.
The work done by Tricia Wilson to introduce a coaching style of management and move away from the existing management by fear culture of a local authority was critical to making this transition. Working closely with first line managers, Tricia was able to get many of them to examine their management style for the first time in their working lives and gain a real appreciation of how to get the best out of their teams by using a coaching style within a performance management framework.
This style of management has had a huge impact in breaking down the barriers between operatives and managers and fostering the team approach. It ensured that managers were much better prepared to handle the significant business changes that followed with the implementation of new technology resulting in an annual reduction of a £2m in overhead, 15% productivity improvement and a step change in service delivery.
